What are the reputable places from which one should buy composting worms? I would love to patronize such establishments!

Local Supplier or Online Supplier

Hi Allison,

As with most purchases, it’s always best, if you can, to start with a local supplier; however, sometimes that’s easier said than done.

When in doubt, especially with composting worms, try to search an online database, such as the one found here at the City Farmer. Most online suppliers (which we’re working on becoming) will be able to ship your worms to you for a nominal fee and they’ll arrive within a couple days. Thank goodness these little wigglers don’t mind getting up close and intimate with the postal service.
